#109 of Ang ProLife Partylist is the number of pro-life Congress representatives against RH Law

Last 13 December 2012, Congress voted for the RH Law with 113 in favor, 109 against, and 5 abstain. Last 13 December 2012, Congress voted for the RH Law with 113 in favor, 109 against, and 5 abstain. What if 3 of those who voted in favor voted against? With these 3 pro-life representatives, we could have defeated the RH Law with 110 in favor, 112 against, and 5 abstain. Only 3 more pro-life representatives--that's all we needed to win the battle in august halls of Congress. And yet we lost.

We may have lost a battle, but not the war. At stake in this culture war is the survival of the traditional Filipino family amidst the destructive cultural ideologies that threaten it: contraception, abortion, same-sex marriage, divorce, euthanasia, etc. to name a few. Since the passage of the RH Law train in Pres. Noynoy Aquino's "daang matuwid" in 2012 fueled by DAP funds--an unconstitutional funding system copied unabashedly by Pres. Aquino from Section 44 of Pres. Marcos' PD 1177--two bills detrimental to the Filipino family have followed like wagons:
Note that the Reproductive Health Law (RA 10354) is not only a contraception law but also a way to circumvent the anti-abortion law in the country. I have already written about this when the RH Bill was still being debated in congress (see Abortion in the RH Law). The Supreme Court also struck down the word "primarily" in the law, which prohibits the funding for the purchase chemical contraceptives which can have an indirect cause of abortion (related article: Contraceptive implants of DOH for 600,000 women: health risks, abortifacients, and business strategy )
Euthanasia was already struck down by the Senate in 1997, but there is no reason why the forces of the culture of death would not wish to bring this up again. The enemy has the money, personnel, and organization. We are not really fighting against flesh and blood, but against "the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens" (Eph 6:12). So let's put on the armor of God and heed the words of Maximus in Gladiator:
Whatever comes out of these gates, we've got a better chance of survival if we work together. Do you understand? If we stay together we survive.--Maximus, Gladiator
We can rant all day in Facebook and Twitter, but at the end of the day, it would be the people whom we voted in Congress who shall determine what laws get passed, what laws get funded.

We still have one more chance to fight: the May 2016 elections. We need to vote for pro-life congressmen, senators, and president. We need to vote for Team Buhay, not Team Patay. It's a matter of life and death. Not voting for those espousing the culture of death is not enough. We must also vote those promoting the culture of life. And you can be assured that Ang ProLife Partylist is definitely for the culture of life. So let's vote for the Filipino family. Let's vote for the culture of life. Let's vote #109 Ang ProLife.

#109. That's the number of Ang ProLife Partylist in the ballot. And that is also the same number of the members of the House of Representatives who voted against the RH Law. It's a strange coincidence that the number of our defeated representatives in Congress is also the ballot number of Ang ProLife partylist who shall take up the cudgels in the battle for the passing of pro-life laws in Congress. The cross, too, was the instrument of suffering and death. But Christ sanctified it and made it into an instrument of redemption like the bronze serpent lifted by Aaron in the desert. So let us embrace the cross. And let us also embrace the #109, our cross in Congress, as our battle cry as we raise the standard of the Cross and reclaim our country from Secular Paganism back into Christianity.

Vote for Ang ProLife Partylist. Vote for #109.

Your one vote matters. We need 2% of the electorate to get one seat in Congress; 4% for two seats; and 6% for 3 seats. These three pro-life partylist representatives can change the tide of battle in Congress as we have seen in the RH Bill voting in 2012.

Your one vote matters. And so is your one click. Check out Ang ProLife Partylist's Facebook page and share it to your friends. Your little act of kindness will go a long, long way.
